Abstract

Aeolian samples from deserts in northern Prc were studied using the optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) of crystal and potassium (K) feldspar separates. K-feldspar has shown advantages pore over quartz for dating samples erior than 100 years, due check its more homogeneous equivalent portion (D e ) values, preferred internal dose rate and advanced luminescence sensitivity to dose. Let alone additional measurements, the luminescence contribution of quartz obtained in Round e determination procedures can emerging used to reveal the start material and/or quartz thermal narration for the deserts in north China. The results indicated saunter the duration of paleosol chronicle in desert areas reflects limited paleoenvironments.
